One of Germany’s biggest publisher’s for children’s books recently asked me to contribute over 100 Illustrations for a new series.
But because it is set for a Fall 2014 release and because they expect great things from it, everything is still super secret and hush hush.

They were nice enough to let me show a small sneak peak and some behind-the-scenes concept art though:

This project needed to be produced quickly while making sure the design would be future proof.
This lead to a fun focus on designing everything thoroughly first:

The comic was supposed to be based on a Poem by a dead German poet.
Finding the right one was tougher then I had imagined, as most poems by dead german poets
tend to be more sad then haha.
